@l .a. Nazis still exist. That's not what that scene is about though. It's showing that Rick Dalton played by Leo, was a top actor of the 1960's in the context of this film. All big name actors in the 1960's starred in WW2 films. And who is we btw?, because like I stated, nazis most definitely exist today.

Brilliant film with an outstanding cast, I think the numerator to pulp fiction has finally arrived. Quentin Tarantino is a man of his art, he takes his work seriously particularly and specifically seriously to the point where its genuine yet convey's a grounded point.

  28. Eli Kronen

    Eli Kronen5 hours ago

@Kriti. I most definitely did not say anything derogatory. I did not mean to be condescending. I feel that may be more about how you read it, rather than how I wrote it. I was just trying to gather information and get to the point. However, I had no idea you were a child. Otherwise I wouldn't have asked you anything in the first place. I'm obviously wrong, but I assumed children wouldn't be on here discussing Tarantino. No worries though. I won't be posting on this comment anymore.

  29. Kriti

    Kriti5 hours ago

@Eli Kronen Apologies, I do not believe it premiered at more than one, and if it seemed or I did phrase it as such I am sorry. I have been told its brilliant, thats all friend, may I also make you aware you are currently conveying a condescending and slightly derogatory tone to an 11 year old.

  30. Eli Kronen

    Eli Kronen6 hours ago

@Kriti. Actually a lot about the plot has been published all over the place. However, if you don't mind. I'm curious about a couple of things. You said, "Film festivals." What other festivals other than Cannes has this film been shown at? Also if you haven't seen it and don't know what it's about, why are you convinced that it's brilliant?

  31. Kriti

    Kriti7 hours ago

@Eli Kronen I read most reviews from external sources like The Guardian (Peter Bradshaw) but I am aware of people who have seen it, nothing specific about the plot was said for possible purposes of spoiling small aspects, which many theatre lovers like me get extremely worked up about.

  32. Eli Kronen

    Eli Kronen11 hours ago

@Kriti. I just knew about the Cannes premiere. What other festivals was it shown at? The things I've read about it from people who've seen it have been mixed. It seems like a lot of people were disappointed with it. However, you said it was brilliant, so I'm assuming you've heard overwhelmingly positive things? What have you heard? Also, did anyone tell you specific things about the plot?

  80. Eli Kronen

    Eli Kronen3 days ago

@Ethernet Cables. Leo's character does live next door to Sharon Tate in the film. Polanski and her move in next door to him in this film. The character of Charles Manson is only in one brief scene in this film and appears for less than a minute. This movie has a fictional plot and I don't think it's what you're expecting. That being said, in real life, Charles Manson did not personally participate in the murders on Cielo Drive. Some of the people in his group referred to as "The Family," did.

Not nearly that many people have seen it and if you read the reviews it seems as though most of them are reviewing the trailer and making assumptions. I have read a number of mediocre American reviews. I can't imagine all of them are being included on RT. Also all the foreign reviews I've read are mediocre or damaging.
